Countdown Day 34: I Will Protect My Family
One of the fundamental reasons family is important is they provide us unconditional love. Love is, as I often say, the purpose of everything.
"I will protect my friends... No matter how much pain befalls me."
In this case, I'd replace friends with family... Because family trumps friends (the originator of this quote had no family). One of my favorite definitions f love is "putting someone else's needs ahead of your own." I'd further that by saying meaningful sacrifice is also a form of love. To protect our love, we do whatever we can, because we love our love... Does that make sense? We'll make any sacrifice for those we love, as we should, because love is what makes life worth living.
