Invasion
But if our hopes are betrayed, if we are forced to resist the invasion of our soil, and to defend our threatened homes, this duty, however hard it may be, will find us armed and resolved upon the greatest sacrifices.
King Albert II
Act 1, Scene 1, The Capitol Watchtower
Guard: Alert the Prince!
Scene 2, The Palace Throne Room
Horse-Riders: Sire! We bring urgent news.
Scene 3, The Grand Plaza
Irakura: People, people I have terrible news! An invading fleet has been spotted of the coast at several different areas! Worse! There are ships inside of the harbor as we speak! They’re rawing closer every moment! Flee the capitol, prepare for invasion, defend yourselves and your families! Do what you know is right!
Scene 4, The Harbor
[A small group of ships are headed towards the capitol]
Scene 5, A Defense Tower
Guard 1: That doesn’t look Norean.
Guard 2: It used the right pattern with the signal flags, they must be allies.
Soldier: *bursts into room* Don’t let them through!
Guard 1: It’s too late!
Guard 2: Jump!
[The three jump as several cannonballs slam into the tower.]
Act 2, Scene1, The Grand Plaza
Irakura: In order to make us stronger, I will retrain all of my power, and tomorrow’s vote will be postponed until the current crisis is dealt with.
Scene 2, The Harbor
[The enemy ships attack the harbor, and the other ships, before they manage to get out of the harbor. The defensive towers fire on the ships, which return fire while troops pour out into the capitol.]
Scene 3, Various Places Around the Capitol
[Numerous scenes of Noreans, both military and civilian fighting the invaders, with Irakura’s words “We will never give up on our home” in the back ground. They’re all fighting hard, obviously because it’s their home.]
Scene 4, The Grand Plaza, War-Torn, A Few Days Later
Irakura: We’ve triumphed, over these ruthless invaders. The memories of our loved ones, and our freedom, pushed us onwards, to our victory. We know that we’ll never back down. We know we’ll never lose. Remarkably, we’ve fought off the incursion within a few days, and with few casualties. But now, I have to leave you all. There have been other assaults, across the country, much fiercer than the one we endured and pushed back. I must lead the armed forces, as their Prince. It’s my responsibility, and I’ll see it through.
