This is the inaugural digitizing of my study journals from my mission. This recaps a zone conference from my time in Anyang, discussing faith in Christ. The main discussion piece was the following talk:

Fear is opposed to faith. No man can serve two masters. When I approach people on the street, am I trying to exercise charity because "I love them and desire their salvation" or am I thinking about fear?
To better exercise faith, I need to avoid doubt and fear when approaching people on the street, including in the thoughts such as "I'm not afraid; if I do this I won't be afraid."
- Faith is the monocle we see the world through.
- Acknowledge your need and desire.
- Trust leads to assurance.
- Hear, then act.
- ^According to the received word. Faith grows.
- Recognizing specific blessings builds faith.
- Missionary homes should be a refuge from the storm.
Things that cause doubt, discouragement, and distraction:
- Basic language errors
- Being hungry
- Alex (Distracted by hoping for emails from friends at home
- Aurora (Worrying about her spirituality and my inability to help her at all)
- Feeling alone
- Worrying that I offended somebody
- Low stats
- Being unable to recognize revelation
- Trust problems with the bishopric (or members)
- Self-confidence
We spend too much time telling people what they already know, without telling them what it is.
- Emotional armor!
- Don't become so focused on your wounds that you forget you're even alive.
- Don't become preoccupied with one detail, and miss the big picture.
- There's no exchange rate for faith.
- Making mistakes increases the number of opportunities by helping you learn not only where to do "..." but also where not to do "...'
