A/N: This isn't split because it's amazing, or long. It's split because i have the two parts typed up in different places.
Chapter 19 - Sanyuta's Samurai - The Weaponist
A/N: Yeah, I'm thinking about doing "Where are they now" segments, but it's not like the story's that far along. I just feel that that sort of thing wouldn't work well this early on...
Act 1, Scene 1
Noble Bepo: After such an exciting fencing competition, it's time for our multiple weapon duels! This competition is sure to be every bit as exciting as the fencing competition! Due to the variety of weapons and number of rounds needed for this competition, we will have matches occur three at a time, culminating in a single elimination tournament. The first set of matches will be the Kachyu’s Herushi VS. Sumora of the Chyosa, while Igune of the Sehyara fights Niku of the Manashya. Wrapping up the first set will be Ikoi of the Buuda Clan VS. Rakuza of the Sakuna. Before we begin, let me explain what weapons are being used, and how many rounds there are. There will be 7 rounds, with a brief intermission after the 4th round. The first round will be fought with maces, an opportunity to demonstrate sheer strength! The next round will be spears. The tips will, of course, be wrapped in cloth. The round after will be fought with swords and shields. The 4th round will be fought using short whips. After the intermission, the 5th round will be fought with daggers. The 6th round will be fought with Ring blades. Finally, the 7th round is a user’s choice round, where each contestant may use whatever weapon they wish. Now that that’s out of the way, we’re ready to begin! Have all contestants entered the ring? Are all the judges ready? Very well. Fight!
[The Weaponist smashes through Sumora’s defense, and scores his 3 points in succession, undeniably defeating Sumora. Niku and Igune trade blows, before Niku makes a risky feint. It pays off and he scores his 3rd point. Meanwhile, Koiki demonstrates his superiority and completely annihilates Rakuza in a few minutes.]
Bepo: And that wraps up our mace fighting! Next are spears! Are we ready? Fight!
[Koiki is unused to fighting with long weapons, and is beaten while trying to move closer so that he can be at home. In the mean time, the Weaponist and Sumora trade blows. The Weaponist gets the upper hand, and beats Sumora. Igune is able to win by playing defensively.]
