Why We're Here

"Because writing is, much like death, a very lonely business."

Stalling

Just a few thoughts.

"Why would you bring me in
If you knew what you'd become"

Soooo this line has meaning to me. Why, why, just why, would You lead someone along if You knew it wouldn't work? Don't do that. It's also a sort of.... "why, just why?" line. I dunno. I just like it.

"I had a rosy dream,
You gave up on You,
and I gave up on me, well,
Love came along and said leave them be"

I like this section. It works better when people move on beyond themselves. Most of life is no fun if You can't stop being selfish, if You don't look beyond Yourself.

"We were wrecked...
I'm singing to empty bottles everywhere, everywhere..."

Obviously, things didn't go so well when they weren't the only people in their worlds (being wrecked, alone.).
P.S. this bit next is my favorite part of the song.

"She counts on stars, astrology
My moods are mercurial,
But I'm no mercury!
Don't hold your breath
Baptized in the river of youth,
Hold on death, the moon
The stars, a sliver of you"

Astrology = superstition, a belief in destiny, fate, whatever. Believing that the movement of heavenly bodies can control events in your life... is what 'she' believes in.
'He' is mercurial, which is, coincidentally, one of my favorite words right now. Mercurial:
  • lively and unpredictable: lively, witty, fast-talking, and likely to do the unexpected.

  • That's one of the many definitions out there right now. I really do like the description though. But, he's no Mercury (the God of Wisdom.)
Holding your breath is often tantamount to waiting, so don't wait, go now.
Death should wait, night should wait, this moment, this day, should go on forever.
And you, you're just like a star.
And of course, there's the chorus that i'm ignoring right now.

    Sadness.

Sadly, i lost all my material for upcoming chapters, so i have to rewrite them./: However, i will be using a new writing exercise, called story cubes!

    August 15, 2012

So, i don't have time to actually post anything because i have to finish my portfolio for a class before the deadline.

    August 13, 2012

    Chapter 19 (NOT)

This is not Chapter 19. This is a post telling you that tomorrow, you can expect a song review (Oh Glory!) And a new chapter (Chapter 19 - Sanyuta's Samurai - The Weaponist).

    August 11, 2012

Whilst listening to the song "Oh Glory" (Panic! at the Disco, Vices & Virtues), i thought: isnt redemption for our (and others) mistakes what lifes often about?

    Advice. Again.

Never write yourself into a corner, or a point where you don't enjoy the story. Be excited! Keep the story rolling to places you like! My issue is that Chapter 19 just isn't very enjoyable for me. Sorry.

    More Hints

A/N: Yes, yes. I know. I was supposed to post. But i didn't. I feel very bad about this, so i will post the prologue to my newest story - Colors of the Rainbow (tentative title).

    Prologue
The Red Nomads. The Orange Empire. The Yellow Kingdom. The Green Towns. The Blue Confederacy. The Indigo Trading Company. The Violet Utopia. Together, these 7 Nations once formed the Rainbow Government. Under the Rainbow, each Nation prospered... which begs the question of how it could've fallen apart so quickly after 360 years. Much of the blame can be placed on the Black Barbarians. The rest of it can be allotted to the discovery they brought with them - Aura. The knowledge that a person could create energy from their emotions opened the floodgates. Suddenly, a person's eye color not only placed a person in the color's respective Nation, but also determined the Aura's natural attribute. Thus far, it appears that, like any skill, sheer training and practice can improve the strength of an Aura. Unfortunately, Auras were immediately applied to more violent efforts, instead of the betterment of humanity. And of course, there are those with a natural aptitude, a passion, for the usage of Auras...

    Not on Hiatus.

I am not on Hiatus, in case you were wondering. Things in life have sort of gotten away from me, but I'll be posting tomorrow.
