A/N: I am still ill. Because of me cleaning gunk/crust out of my eye, I've rubbed the skin raw. It's very remniscent of Prince Zuko's scar. I am on the mend, however. I expect to be completely healed by this Sunday.
P.S. I've decided to change the story and make Sparrow a girl! It's an idea I tossed around a while back, and eventually rejected. But I've decided to institute it, and what better time than the rewrite of the series?
Chapter 10 - Last Words
How Things Work: The 12 Nobles (Cont.)
Rebasu is the Noble in charge of building cities and such. Thus, he keeps careful track of the population. He enjoys his job, and doesn't involve himself in politics, or even morals. He was appointed because he is a brilliant engineer.
Hebimaru was recently promoted to be Irakura's advisor, a new position created for him. He is a flatterer, but only cares about his job with the Prince. He would throw Irakura under the bus if a regime change came, so long as he remained where he is. He enjoys being comfortable and socially above others.
Beruze is the youngest Noble. He is very inexperienced, so he will normally go along with Chika, and the rest of the majority. Beruze is at his core, good, but insecure, and he always gives into peer pressure.
Hendo is the Noble in charge of maintaining the Norean Navy. Currently, the Navy is not a high priority since the war in Dracoa is completely land-based. He has little power. He is trying to get growing room for the Navy, but is mostly unsuccesful.
Baku is the Noble in charge of maintaining schools and their curriculum. Because of this, he has a close relationship with Irakura and always takes notes at meetings. He is very wise and is in charge of opening universities. He is good.
Kikuya is in charge of distributing supplies to villages in need of them. He only does this because it is his job. He'd rather have a different one, and everybody knows it. He is evil. He often suggests withholding supplies as a punishment for those who rebel.
Zen is a Noble in charge of mail. He is not ambitious and only wants to serve the people. He is good, and travels like much of the Buuda Clansmen.
Act 1, Scene 1 [Koraga's Home]
Koraga: I have two 'children' in a manner of speaking. You and Irakura. Your 'brother' is going down a dark path. He has lost faith in the people. You must never lose your faith in Norea. It is up to you to stop Irakura. I hear you're already working on that, and so far I'm proud of your adventures. It's your charge to change the world. Norea is trapped in a cycle of hatred and we have to break it. I'm too old to get out there anymore, but I do what I can. I know you do too. Irakura won't go down easily though. It may take a lifetime... but I trust you! I know you have it in you to break this cycle! Come tomorrow, and my role will be finished. I'll rest easy, knowing you're still out here... and that you're my daughter. I love you, Sparrow.
Sparrow: I love you too... father.
[Aside] Koraga: Should I tell her about her real father? ...no...
Scene 2 [Dattegoru Town Hall]
Datte: What does it look like from the top?
Soldier Bepo: Not good, my Lord. The Kachyu have control over the city. Any of our troops outside this building are either dead or captured. It looks like battering rams are being constructed in the road below.
Datte: How long will the doors hold?
Bepo: Several hours, no more.
Datte: Maybe I can parlay...
Scene 3 [Outside Town Hall's Doors]
Sanyuta: Father! Datte wishes to parlay.
Tuma: Very well... I accept.
[Enter Datte]
Tuma: What is it that you're parlaying for?
Datte: My life. I want to keep it. I'll give you everybody inside Town Hall, anything you want in Dattegoru.
Tuma: You are their Noble! If anything, you should be trading your life for theirs!
Datte: No deal then, I take it?
[Tuma punches Datte.]
[Exit Datte]
Act 2, Scene 1 [Koraga's Home]
[Enter General Hanzo]
General Hanzo: I am General Hanzo, of the Kayuchi Clan. My soldiers and I arrived in preparation of the Prince's arrival tomorrow, and found a city at war. My men immediately began a counter attack, but we experienced fierce resistance. I am in need of more troops, so a Dattegoru draft has been initiated. Every able bodied man is expected to take up arms, or be imprisoned. Which will it be?
[Aside] Sparrow: Atsura! The Prince... is coming here...
Scene 2 [Town Hall]
[Kachyu and Kayuchi are battling outside]
Bepo: It looks like Hanzo is here, with the army!
Datte: Really?
Bepo: Yes! It looks like he's winning!
Datte: Now's my chance to live! Open the doors! We're attacking!
[Datte and his remaining troops join the fight.]
Datte: We can win this!
Tuma: I have an offer for the Kayuchi! Give us Datte, and this war ends! We will forgive you for your atrocities, and we will let the Prince settle this dispute!
[Some of the soldiers back away from Datte, then everybody stops fighting, waiting to see what happens.]
Datte: Stop! I am you Noble!
Tuma: He told me he would trade all your lives for his own!
Sparrow: Why should we support a Noble like that? You're supposed to serve your people!
[More people back away, until Hanzo and a few people are the only ones supporting Irakura.]
Datte: Don't leave, Hanzo... we're friends, remember? You can't abandon me! Remember, you helped me plan Meruchi's death? And discredit the Kachyu? When Sanyuta was moving the villagers of Aka and Meda?
Sanyuta: Enough of this! Make your choice! Wipe your slate clean, or fill it with blood!
[Hanzo turns his back on Datte.]
Tuma: Do you have any last words?
Datte: I see how it is... my wife wouldnt have abandoned me... Jin would've stayed by my side... But... since she's not here... These are my last words.
My last act as Noble of the Kayuchi Clan is to declare the soldier Bepo as my successor.
Sparrow: Can he do that?
Hanzo: I don't see why not.
Tuma: Very well. I look forward to working with Bepo.
Datte: I challenge you, for my life! A fight to the death!
Tuma: That's fine with me. I'll enjoy this.
[Tuma fights Datte. Datte fights back for a short time, then Tuma quickly outmatches and dispatches him.]
Tuma: This war is over!
A Quick Look At ~ Bepo
Bepo is one of Hanzo's footsoldiers. He was never anything special, until Datte named him his successor. The reason for this choice was because Bepo showed him kindness during Town Hall's siege. Bepo is very loyal, to everybody. He looks up to Hanzo, but is ready to grow into his own person. He is very good.
Next time, Irakura arrives! Koraga's fate is sealed?? What is to become of Tuma, who started a civil war?!

How Things Work: The 12 Nobles (Cont.)
Gachi is the head of the Court, since Irakura's decree that the Romu Clan will always be the head of the Court of Nobles. Gachi isn't a horrible person, but only wants more money and power for his Clan. Gachi keeps the Nobles united as best he can.
Datte is a villain. He currently represents the Kachyu Clan along with the Kayuchi, until a new Noble is chosen for the Kachyu. He is extremely ambitious, and his goal is to rule all 12 Clans and become ruler of Norea. He killed Meruchi. His Clan is in charge of finding military recruits.
Pachi is a money manager. He believes money is the ultimate force in the world, and has devoted his life to gathering it. Accordingly, he is the wealthiest among the 12 Nobles. His Clan is in charge of the economy.
Chika is the oldest Noble. He believes that all people have an important destiny. He is one of the good Nobles, and tries to do good. He gives in to peer pressure however, thinking it's time for the young to achieve their destinies.
Act 1, Scene 1 [Kachyu Headquarters]
Tuma: Tomorrow is my inaugration as the Kachyu Noble and General. I plan on holding it on the steps of Dattegoru Town Hall.
Eruda: What?! Dorato will never allow that! Especially while Datte is in town.
Tunma: Eruda, this is our city now too! As a Noble, Datte is my equal, and as a General, Dorato is below me!
Eruda: You're not even official yet.
Tuma: Irakura is arriving in 3 days. Our plan has to go off before then if we want bargaining power. We can begin the inaugration at dawn, while Dorato is sleeping.
Eruda: I refuse to support something so risky.
Tuma: Like always... and as always, I will continue with it for the good of the Clan.
Scene 2 [Koraga's Home]
Koraga: How far away is this Moresuke?
Atsura: It's a 3 day journey for us on foot.
Sparrow: I haven't ridden a horse in ages. Not since my childhood.
Koraga: I remember that...
Sparrow: ...why did you ask me to return here?
Koraga: I wanted to give you my last words.
Sparrow: What?!
Atsura: You don't look like you're dying. You're not that old.
Koraga: I might as well be. Have you read my latest treatise, 'How Power Corrupts Morals?'
Sparrow: I've been a bit too busy to read.
Koraga: Shame. Well, it got me placed under house arrest when it came to the attention of Irakura. Since I won't renounce it, they're going to put me in the Guragu.
Sparrow: Guragu? I remember you saying something about it one time...
Atsura: The Guragu is a prison in Romunemu (The Capitol) built especially for political prisoners.
Sparrow: Oh yeah, I knew that.
Atsura: Sure you did.
Koraga: So anyways, I want to tell you my last words.
Act 2, Scene 1 [Dattegoru Town Hall]
Datte: You are the best of the best. You are Dattegoru's finest officers and soldiers. And tonight, I have an important job for you. Tuma Kachyu must be killed.
Scene 2 [Tuma's Home]
Tuma: It looks like Datte has given us permission to strike.
[There are dead Kayuchi troops surrounding Tuma.]
Scene 3 [Dattegoru Town Hall]
Tuma: I'd like to thank everyone who came here today for my inaugration-
[Enter Datte, Dorato, and Dattegoru Troopers]
Datte: What do you think you're doing?
Tuma: Today is my inaugration as Noble and General of the Kachyu Clan.
Datte: That's supposed to take place in the Capitol, days from now!
Tuma: Prince Irakura informed me there would be two ceremonies. One here, with my own Clan, and then another when we travel back to Romunemu together.
Datte: You'll travel together...?
Tuma: I've had enough of the Kayuchi's treatment of the Kachyu! We are sister Clans! We are just as good as You are!
Datte: How dare you!
Tuma: I've had enough of your hatemongering! You have turned your Clan against mine because Jin loves me instead of you!
Datte: You stole her from me! And as Clan head, your actions are the responsibility of the Clan!
Tuma: You're only attackingt my Clan to hurt me!
Datte: Yes. But no more of this. Officers! Arrest Tuma Kachyu!
Tuma: Now is the time to rise against our oppressors! Kachyu Clan, take the city!
[The Kachyu and Kayuchi begin fighting]
[Aside] Datte: I'm not going to win this...
Datte: Kayuchi! Fight to Town Hall! We can take refuge within, until reinforcements arrive!
[The Kayuchi bravely fight their way inside.]
Dorato: Wait for me!
Datte: Close the doors!
Tuma: Dorato, you dog! You were one of the worst!
[Tuma kills Dorato.]
Tuma: What's the situation in the rest of the city?
[Enter Sanyuta]
Sanyuta: There is sporadic fighting, but we maintain control.
Tuma: Good work, son.
Sanyuta: Anything for the glory of the Kachyu Clan, father.
Next time, look for Irakura's reaction to all of this! How will this rebellion be resolved?! Will Datte survive...?!

Apologizing Again
I'm sorry about the lack of new material everybody! I feel like my story got in a rut, and was becoming a piece of rubbish. Now however, I am working on Part 2, and I am enjoying the rewrite of the series. I do believe that the rewritten version is much bettter. Currently, I am working on Rewrite Chapter 12 (Infiltrate!! The Citadel Sunrise Challenge!!). I will be posting more soon.
Midnight Violins
The sky doesn’t move; the sun just rises and falls
The ground doesn’t move; it’s up to you to walk or not
The song of midnight shouted out
The truth is, I hate being alone
I’ve known what is important ever since that day
~Aqua Timez
Very touching and true. It is up to each and every one of us to walk or not, just like the sun and sky above our heads. i do hate being alone, and i do know what's important now.
And i hope You will all learn this lesson as well, in a not-painful way.

On Service
Service.
The above is an excellent site with a plethora of information about service. Below is a talk I've written for church; I thought that I'd post it here in the meantime.
The above is an excellent site with a plethora of information about service. Below is a talk I've written for church; I thought that I'd post it here in the meantime.
[Introduce Self]
I’d like to preface my talk with a primary song that expresses this topic very well in my opinion. I am a very musical person, and when I got this topic I wanted to find a song that fit. This song was a clear choice, and I hope you will all see why after I recite the lyrics.
Some people walk away from you,
But I won’t! I won’t!
If you don’t talk as most people do,
Some people talk and laugh at you,
But I won’t! I won’t!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you.
That’s how I’ll show my love for you.
Jesus walked away from none.
He gave his love to ev’ryone.
So I will! I will!
Jesus blessed all he could see,
Then turned and said, “Come, follow me.”
And I will! I will!
I will! I will!
I’ll walk with you. I’ll talk with you.
That’s how I’ll show my love for you.
What a simply beautiful and touching song. I hope that we all will walk and talk with our spiritual brothers and sisters, despite physical or mental drawbacks.
The topic that I’ve been given (and I’m paraphrasing) is “How Giving Service Enables One to Become a Disciple of Jesus Christ.”
When addressing this topic, I decided to approach it using each question word, who, what, where, when, why, and how. I’d like to start with “Why.”
Why should we give service? Answer: Because Christ gave service. In Luke 22:27, he stated that ‘I am among you as he that serveth.” To be a disciple means to be a follower of a person or ideal. To be disciples of Jesus Christ, we must follow his ideals and his example. He exemplified his teachings, so we need only look to his life to see what we must become. As that primary song, “I’ll Walk With You,” said, ‘Jesus blessed all he could see’. We have a multitude of stories about the Master blessing all he met. He raised the dead, healed the leper, caused the lame to walk, turned water to wine, filled fishnets, and performed so, so many more acts of service than I could put in this list. We give service because Christ did, and he taught in John 13:35 that, ‘By this ye shall know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Giving service is an expression of love. We are all also obligated to serve by our baptismal covenant. In Mosiah, chapter 18, Alma teaches that part of the baptismal covenant is to ‘bear one another’s burdens.’
The second question is “Who?” The answer to this is simple. Service is a personal act that you commit that helps somebody. It is usually others, though there are ways you can
serve yourself. We perform service because we all want to be happy, and it helps us to perfect ourselves. When it comes down to it, the purpose of service is to help each other. We all want to help each other and become perfect and happy. In that famous verse in Mosiah about service, it states that when we serve our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God. That is because it is our Heavenly Father’s work and glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. When we perform meaningful service, we get ourselves and others a little nearer to this eternal goal, which is God’s plan for us.
The third and fourth questions are “Where” and “When.” The answer? We can give service anytime and anywhere. Service is not just temporal, and the ways we can perform it are infinite. The Savior showed us that as long as we look for it, there is always an opportunity for service.
The fifth and sixth questions are, to me, the lengthiest to answer. They are, “What” and “How.” I believe that there are five different (but always similar) ways to give service. Three of them are services to others, but the last two are services for ourselves. We mustn’t forget that we are also in need of service at times, though we should make sure to always serve others and not put ourselves and our needs above others. I’d like to outline these five ways to serve.
The first way to serve others is temporally. That is usually the first form of service a person thinks of. It is a simple, effective, good way to give service. Many of the acts of service Christ performed were physical; healing of afflictions being a prominent one. In the same way, we should perform temporal service. There is a multitude of stories about heartfelt acts of temporal service, ranging from a small child’s gifted toy to a lonely playmate, to entire wards gathering together to harvest fields and build houses. If you have not experienced the blessing of giving temporal service, I encourage you to go out and serve. It could be raking a widow’s yard, or making a meal for an ill family. Although I’d like to warn you that, if you choose to make a meal, you had better check with the Relief Society first! Speaking of which, the Relief Society, along with the bishopric, forms a sort of parenthood of service in each ward. They are always there to serve, and ensure that those in need receive aid. If you need, or wish to give any form of service, you need only to speak to a member of the bishopric, or Relief Society presidency. Great amounts of time can be spent on any topic regarding service, but for the sake of time I will move on.
The second form of service for others is spiritual. Often, this form of service is linked with the temporal variety of service. Examples of this service include teaching a church class, or giving a priesthood blessing. Any member who magnifies their calling is also giving spiritual service. To me, those who teach are giving the third greatest act of spiritual service. Teaching is a divine calling, appointed by God. The second greatest act of spiritual service is to forgive and apologize for wrongdoing. In Deiter F. Uchtdorf’s words, we should “stop it.” The single greatest act of spiritual service any person has given to another is the atonement of Jesus Christ. The atonement is the greatest single event in all of history. The Savior, in the ultimate act of sacrifice and of self-less service, gave us a way to return to our Father in heaven.
The third act of service you can perform for others is emotional. This form of service is heavily connected to the other forms. This is a varied, and, arguably, vague topic, so, for the sake of my sanity, I will speak about the most sacred way to give this service. This special act of service is not always thought of as service. It is true friendship. Being a true friend is, I will be so bold to say, the second greatest act of service, eclipsed only by the atonement. Even the atonement, if looked at from a different point of view, is an act of familial friendship. Indeed, Jesus the Christ should be our most intimate and close of friends, along with our Heavenly Father. A true friend can make all the difference in a person’s life. Being a true friend is like going through life. People can give you examples and advice, but in the end it’s up to each and every one of us to experience it for ourselves. I encourage all to first make friends with those in your family. They are your most important relationships. Then, branch out to everybody else in your life. Be friends with all! To learn more about being a true friend, I suggest looking to the scriptures, especially the gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John, which detail the life of the truest of friends, Jesus the Christ. I would add, on a personal note, Doctrine and Covenants, 18th Chapter. How great should be your joy, if because of your friendship with another, they develop those same bonds with others, and this continues, until, one great day, all the people of Earth shall link their hands together in a single, great bond of love and friendship. I hope we will all strive to bring that day just a bit closer, by being the best friend you can to everyone you meet.
The first way that you can serve yourself is by forgiving yourself. That is critical to your eternal progression. Repentance and forgiveness are vast subjects, and I am running out of time. I will simply say this: you must serve yourself along with others. Forgiveness and repentance are important for you, and for you to give to others. Isn’t it interesting how similar the words “serve” and “save” are? I think it is no coincidence.
The second form of service you can give to yourself, and my last way to give service in general, is to serve others. This is the sum of everything service related. The best way to serve our God is to work towards eternal perfection, and one of the best ways to do that is to perform true, meaningful acts of service. In closing, I’d like to share a few quotes about service with you, which coincide with my own testimony about service.
George MacDonald observed that “it is by loving and not being loved that one can come nearest to the soul of another.” I testify that this is true.
The Savior, in Luke 9:24, taught His disciples that “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” This scripture has many applications, but it is most in it’s application to service that I hold it in reverence.
President Thomas S. Monson once said that “I believe the Savior is telling us that unless we lose ourselves in service for others, there is little purpose to our own lives. Those who live only for themselves eventually shrivel up and figuratively lose their lives, while those who lose themselves in service to others grow and flourish – and in effect, save their lives.” Clearly, these words of a prophet were inspired by the Savior’s message in Luke 9. And it is with that promise, and warning, that those who live for themselves will shrivel up and spiritually die, while they who live for others will prosper and save their selves spiritually, that I close this talk.

Noble Datte: I'm so sorry about that. It appears that my message to him was misscarried.
Prince Irakura: Pachi.
Pachi: Yes, Lord Irakura?
Irakura: How is the mining venture venturing? I had heard it had been delayed... how so?
Pachi: Datte's protection was inadequate, and the Ameyura terrorists kidnapped the people of Aka and Meda.
Irakura: Is this true, Datte?
Datte: It is not. I provided ample protection, the problem was that the General was a Kachyu.
Irakura: That seems to alwys be the problem with you, doesn't it? That's alright, I've selected a replacement Noble and General for the Kachyu Clan.
Datte: What?!
Irakura: The Court of Nobles was not meant to function this way. Each Clan gets one Noble! Do you have a problem with that, Datte? Or anyone else for that matter?!
Datte: No... my Lord.
Irakura: Very good. The Kachyu Noble with leave Dattegoru in 5 days.
[Aside] Datte: I have to stop that Noble...
Scene 2 [Moresuke Town Hall]
Mayor Jyakirusa: Next item of business. Sparrow, have you found a home for the villagers of Aka and Meda?
Sparrow: Jyakuge has found them a nice, isolated section of plains where the villagers can rebuild.
Jyakirusa: My son keeps making me proud. We'll provide them with a few necessities and send them on their way.
Sparrow: I have a request, Mayor.
Jyakirusa: Yes?
Sparrow: I understand that, per our agreement, the Ameyura is subject to Moresuke. But I need a week or two for some personal business. Atsura wishes to travel with me, as a friend.
Jyakirusa: So long as the people of Aka and Meda leave, you are free to leave.
Sparrow: Thank you!
Scene 3 [Moresuke Gates]
Children: Bye, Atsu!
Atsura: Goodbye, children! I'll be back soon!
Gekkou: See you later, Sparrow.
Sparrow: You too, Gekkou. Take care of your sister for me.
Gekkou: I'll take care of Ekura, promise!
Sparrow: Good! I'll be back soon to check up on you guys!
[Exit Sparrow and Atsura]
Act 2, Scene 1 [Outside the Capitol]
[Datte is leaving the Capitol inside his carriage.]
Scene 2 [Dattegoru Town Hall]
Mayor Dorato: Lord Datte!
Datte: Dorato. Why didn't you warn me?!
Dorato: About what?!
Datte: The Kachyu Noble! And General! They've been selected!
Dorato: I didn't hear anything about that!
Datte: Well then, we have ourselves a little problem. We have to kill whoever it is before they leave for the Capitol!
Dorato: If we keep killing won't it be obvious?
Datte: You will do as I say.
Dorato: Yes, my Lord! There's only one notable Kachyu who could be the Noble. His name is Tuma. He is the Clan leader.
Datte: And the General?
Dorato: It'd have to be him as well. The only other well-known Kachyu is Eruda, and he's one of the old traditionalists. Ever since Sanyuta became General, the traditionalists have been losing influence in the Kachyu Clan.
Datte: Where is he right now?
Dorato: In the Kachyu Ring, with the rest of the dogs!
Scene 3 [Kachyu Ring]
Kachyu Guard: Clan name! And reason for visiting!
Atsura: Wakari Clan!
Sparrow: Pouza Clan. We're here to visit my father.
Guard: Write your names in this ledger, along with how long your stay will be.
Sparrow: We'll be staying a week.
Guard: You must sign out in one week's time, or we will send out a warrant for your arrest.
Atsura: Thanks!
[Exit Sparrow and Atsura]
Scene 4 [Koraga's Home]
[Sparrow knocks, and Koraga answers.]
Koraga: Sparrow?
Sparrow: Hey... father.
[They embrace.]
Koraga: Who's the monkey-man?!
Atsura: I'm not a monkey-man!
A Quick Look At ~The Monkey-Man Atsura
Atsura is very popular with children. He used to be a crime lord. He is very strong, but also very kind. He is popular with the Ameyura. He is Sparrow's best friend and right hand man. Despite this, he only leads when Sparrow is absent, and is not expected to take charge of the Ameyura if Sparrow ever leaves.
Quirk: People call him different (silly) names and rarely recognize him.
Next Time!! Trouble in Dattegoru! Koraga under arrest? Just who is Tuma, and why are there bodies all over the floor?!

Act 1, Scene 1 [Court of Nobles]
[Aside] Noble Pachi: Datte! You told me Hanzo would protect my investment!

Chapter 7 - Two Different Children (Or; Remembrance)
How Things Work: The Postal System
Noble Zen is in charge of the Postal System, since his Clan started and maintains it.
The Buuda Clan originally used their services only for themselves, since they were a scattered Clan of monks. King Agatora instituted it nationally, to facilitate the sharing of knowledge.
Travellers can make use of the system by little boxes at the sides of roads. Post Office keys are the only way to open them. The letters are brought to Post Offices by mailmonks, who are required to check these boxes whenever they pass them. Mail is distributed to Post Offices in other villages and cities by mailmonks.
Prologue
"28 years before Irakura's reign began, a civil war broke out. The Anarchists that had assassinated King Chiosamaru returned, determined to bring down the government. They gave no demands and refused to negotiate. Their numbers grew as the corruption in the Court of Nobles, military, and mayoral branch spread.Anarchy was a shadowy orginazation, with many bases, spread across the country. They used the government's corruption to their advantage. The war dragged on for 15 years, flaring up intermittently. Finally, at his son's pleading, King Kumara allowed his son to invade Rayuchi in a bold and desperate act. Rayuchi was extremely corrupt, and harbored Jikasu, the leader of the Anarchists. The city's infrastructure was destroyed during the battle, and ever since that day the city has been home to gangsters and bandits. This tale takes place after that last great battle between the Anarchists and Irakura, which ended in Jikasu's execution.
Scene 1 [Rayuchi's Public Square]
Prince Irakura: Jikasu is dead! The war is over!
General Gozen: Do you really think so?
Irakura: Yes, Gozen. No one else in Anarchy has demonstrated an aptitude for leadership. They were never very effective when Jikasu wasn't leading them. I believe that without their spiritual and tactical leader, Anarchy is dead.
Gozen: It's that simple?
Irakura: Well... we also captured documents off of Jikasu intended for other bases. With those documents, we now have all of their bases' locations.
Gozen: I can't believe that it's finally over...
Young Sparrow: It's not!
Irakura: Who are you?
Sparrow: Your worst nightmare!
[Sparrow tries to injure Irakura, but is unsuccesful.]
Sparrow: Ug! You're a bad person! You hurt people! Dad said so!
Irakura: Are you a bad person? After all, you're trying to hurt me, aren't you?
Sparrow: I... I dno't think I am... but...
Irakura: You're not. Neither am I. Just because I've hurt some people doesn't make me bad. By hurting a few people, I'm saving more people from getting hurt.
Sparrow: You... help people?
Irakura: Yes. It's called "the greater good."
Sparrow: I want to help people too! That's what dad would want!
Irakura: Where is your father?
[Sparrow solemnly points.]
Irakura: Jikasu's base... could this be...?
Sparrow: I don't see him a lot. He has important work.
Irakura: What color is his hair?
Sparrow: Bright red! Why?
Irakura: It is Jikasu... Listen, Sarrow?
Sparrow: Yeah?
Irakura: I was talking to your dad earlier. He said he has to go away on business. and won't be back for a long time.
Sparrow: He won't?
Irakura: He said he loves you more than anything, Sparrow.
[Sparrow grips Irakura's hand.]
Scene 2 [Dattegoru, Koraga's Home]
Koraga: Irakura? I haven't seen you in years!
Irakura: Not since that day when Kumara decided I was old enough to be on my own. I've... missed you.
Koraga: No one realizes how difficult it is to be the child of a King. You lost your father... and eventually your childhood.
Irakura: It doesn't matter. That's the price of beoming the saviour of this people.
Koraga: Saviour?
Irakura: Not yet... but I will be. My reign will always be remembered. Either way, I need to ask you a favor Koraga.
Koraga: Does it have something to do with this kid?
Sparrow: My name is Sparrow!
Irakura: Yes. Sparrow. I newed you to raise him. As well as you raised me.
Koraga: Do you know what you're asking? I'm not exactly young anymore!
Irakura: Please. He needs you.
[Aside] Irakura: His father is Jikasu.
Koraga: Oh... I suppose. I'll take care of him.
[Sparrow grabs hold of Koraga's hand.]
Sparrow: Will you be my parent?
Koraga: ...yes. Yes, Sparrow.
A Quick Look At ~ Koraga
Koraga is a friend from Kumara's childhood. When Kumara realized his duties would prevent him from being a good father to Irakura, he brought in his old friend Koraga, who raised Irakura from that point onward. As a child, Irakura understood why Kumara couldn't be such a good father. His bond with his biological father strengthened when Kumara relinquished Koraga's services when Irakura turned 12, deciding Irakura was old enough to tag-along with him and begin to learn the more personal kingly traits. Since then, Koraga has quietly lived off of the money Kumara payed him for raising Irakura.
Next Time!! Koraga and Sparrow reunite! Irakura learns of recent events that Sparrow had a hand in...?

Chapter 6 - Norean History Lessons: The Kachyu
How Things Work: The Kachyu Clan Marriage Ceremony
For those who (usually) temporarilly left the Kenji Slopes to find a mate, there was a tradition they must follow. They stay 4 weeks and 2 days in different cities, starting with the city their foreign parent came from, if any. If not, they go to the the parent's foreign parent, and so on and so forth. If there is no foreign blood at all, they may go wherever they please. If, while staying in a city, they find someone they're interested in, they have 24 days to court them. If significant progress isn't made in that relationship, they leave. Otherwise, they return engaged, and marry at the Kachiru's cave. Those who do not return are shamed and dishonored. Family ties are important to the Kachyu, but only those within the clan.
Formed in 204 B.I.R., as one of the free villages. The Kachyu clan was formed by people who banded together against a fearsome mountain ogre, the Kachiru. The Kachiru could easily kill several men, but when the scattered people drew together and united against it, it was slain. While searching for any children it may have had, they found the creature's lair, a large cave at the base of the Kenji Slopes. It was here they decided to live, and they thrived and expanded for the next four years (204-200 B.I.R.). They were part of Warlord Garute's territory, but he was overthrown by Teradoku, leading "Norea." They contributed warriors to the war effort, but were largely unaffected by it. They quietly became a part of the monarchy, but didn't participate in any way. No noble ever represented the Kachyu in the king's court, until Dattegoru became Kachigoru. The Kachyu were mostly self-contained, and after a few generations this led to major problems (200-140 B.I.R.). Because everyone was closelyrelated at that point, they were forced to spread abroad and bring in fresh blood the Kachyu line. Most families returned, the few who didn't were erased from memory, save as traitors (140-100 B.I.R.). The Kachyu experienced a brief revival, but there were consequences. People who had 'impure' blood, that is, people who were not completely Kachyu, were treated poorly; people with 'pure' blood were favored. It was during this time that Tuma was born (59 B.I.R.).
Tuma's father was of the purest blood, and his line had always ruled the clan. Indeed, his ancestor Sarai killed the Kachiru. Tuma, by a stroke of luck, was healthy. His father, on the other hand, was crippled with infirmities. Tuma resolved not to curse any children of his in such a way, and married a foreigner (34 B.I.R.), competing with Datte for her affections, and winning. When his father died the same year, Tuma became the ruler of the clan, and did his best to change it. Unfortunately, some people wouldn't make the journey to find a mate or didnt care. In 14 B.I.R. the king allowed Irakura to move the Kachyu, as an experiment. The Kachyu were an extremely traditional clan, as evidenced by their samurai masks. Samurai were royalty to the Kachyu. When the Kachyu were moved to Dattegoru, the city nearest the Kenji Slopes, they were revitalized, though many balked at leaving their ancient home. This is what birthed Sanyuta's respect and loyalty for Irakura. To Irakura, it was an experiment about how strong tradition is compared to authority. Ironically, the entire Kachyu found out what it was like to be discriminated against. The noble of Dattegoru ahted Tuma, since they had been rivals for Tuma's wife. Tuma sent his son to Irakura's military, hoping that Sanyuta would become a somebody so that he could help fix his clan's predicament (7 B.I.R.). The rest of the Kachyu's history is detailed in the remainder of the Dattegoru arc.

Chapter 5 - Clash!!
How Things Work: The Ancient Cities
During the Ancients' rule, they built many wonderful and beautiful cities. However, most of them were destroyed during their civil war, and by the Noreans when they revolted against the remaining Ancients. After all of this, there were only 9 Ancient cities left. The Royal Palace is actually a holdover from the Ancients.
Clans who inhabit Ancient cities have huge advantages over those who don't, for obvious reasons. The Noreans aren't that good at building their own cities yet. These cities are also the main source of knowledge about the Ancients, mostly stemming from artifacts. The nine remaining Ancient cities are:
Romunemu - The Capitol of Norea
Dattegoru - Home of the Kayuchi and, now, Kachyu Clans.
Arakunea - Abandoned city on the coast, more commonly known as the "Necropolis".
Rayuchi - Overrun by criminals, a criminal paradise.
Kirushi - ??
Benkyoshi - Center of Postal Services in Norea, home of the Buuda Clan Monk Council.
Derabochi - ??
Gutenda - ??
Mazura - ??
Act 1, Scene 1 [At the Bottom of the Villager's Column]
Sparrow: If I win, you let the villagers go. If not, you get to kill Atsura. Oh, and you can have the rest of the Ameyura.
Sanyuta: When I win, I want you to swear fealty to the Prince.
Both: Deal.
[Aside] Sparrow: Atsura, Jyakuge, get out of here.
Sanyuta: Corporals, make sure that our friends don't leave until the fight's over! After all, Sparrrow has promised me the ogre's life.
Atsura: I'm not an ogre!
[When Sparrow looks away towards Atsura, Sanyuta gallops towards him and though Sparrow ducks, he's too late and Sanyuta's pike catches his shoulder, injuring him.]
Sparrow: Gah! No warning?!
Sanyuta: Honor does not require you to let your opponents win.
[Sparrow and Sanyuta fight.]
Jyakuge: Atsura, Sparrow has no chance! Sanyuta's strength is monstrous. He's a monster.
Atura: We have to have faith in him. Besides, they've already agreed. Even if he isn't a samurai, Sparrow has his own sense of honor.
Jya.: There's no way he can win. I can't see any way for Sparrow to win.
[Sparrow is knocked back. Atsura blocks a killing blow from Sanyuta.]
Sanyuta: Corporals!
Sparrow: No! Wait! Atsura is sorry. He won't interfere again. I promise.
Sanyuta: But is he sorry? I wish to hear it from his own mouth.
Atsura: I... am sorry.
Sanyuta: Very well.
[The fight resumes. Sparrow kills Sanyuta's horse, which reduces the effectiveness of his pike. Sanyuta discards it and draws his sword. He's very skilled in swordsmanship, driving Sparrow back.]
Sparrow: Why are you fighting for the Prince?!
Sanyuta: He saved my Clan! The Kachyu were dying out. My father, Tuma, wasn't able to overcome the traditionalists in our clan, so all hope was lost until Lord Irakura issued a royal edict, moving the Kachyu from our home at the base of the Kenji Slopes to Dattegoru, which was a day's journey away. The move reinvigorated our Clan!
Sparrow: The Prince is evil! He thinks only of himself, and how to further his own power! Whatever he did, it was for himself.
Sanyuta: You're wrong! Lord Irakura is a hero!
[The two's swords collide, and each presses against the other's. The two hold firm against each other, struggling to overpower the other.]
Sparrow: I... have... to win!
Sanyuta: No!
[With Sanyuta's sword broken, Sparrow viciously stabs him several times.]
Sparrow: You both heard our agreement. You saw me win.
Saru: That's right.
Tobi: You may leave. Samurai of the 9th Division! Stop fighting, stand down! The villagers may leave.
Atsura: Thanks!
Sparrow: Tell Irakura, or whoever you report to... now that Sanyuta is dead... that Sparrow of the Ameyura says it's time to retire. All of you, in the military, and the Court of Nobles... your time has come.
[Exit Sparrow and Atsura]
Scene 2 [Rally Point]
Sparrow: You are all free! Even though it cost some of the Ameyura their lives, we've rescued you from Irakura. Now we have to figure out what to do with you. What did you do in your villages before?
Villager: We were simple farmers. Our villages were very basic.
Sparrow: That's great! That means you'll be useful villagers in my home, Moresuke! You'll all come home with me and the rest of the Ameyura! I insist!
Scene 3 [Moresuke]
Atana Sensei: You brought two villages here?!
Sparrow: They can't go home, and they have no where else to go.
Atana: Sparrow, it's not as if Moresuke is exactly thriving. We're trudging along, and that's it.
Sparrow: Maybe they'll help us grow.
Atana: Maybe help the Ameyura grow! They have no housing, no farms to work yet. It's too many people! You have to find them a different home.
Sparrow: All right already... I get it. I'll find a place for the villagers of Aka and Meda to call home.
Atana: Oh, by the way, a letter arrived for you, from Dattegoru. The sender's name was Koraga?
A Quick Look At ~ Atana Sensei
Atana Sensei is a widower with one daughter, named Imeda. He has lived in Moresuke since it was founded. He was educated in politics and sociology in a university at Dattegoru. He is very wise, and often advises Jakirusa, the mayor of Moresuke, along with Sparrow and the other Ameyura. Everyone in Moresuke knows who to go to when they need important advice. He is dismayed to find that his daughter is already looking for a husband, even though he would love to have grand children. He deeply loves his wife, and continues to remember her. Her name was also Imeda.

Kumogakure's Symbol... and a bit more!
This is the symbol for the "Village Hidden in the Clouds", or Kumogakure, of the Land of Lightning.
The Most Information about Kumogakure I've been able to find. The reason for this post? A friend was having difficulty finding their symbol, and wanted to know more about Kumo.

Youth Conference
Youth Conference is over at last. And to tell the truth, I am happy to have my time back (though I will lose it to high adventure next week). I will also miss hanging out with good friends like Mallory, Neil, Chris, and others. Who would've thought so many people would be interested in Naruto?? When we all split up into groups, my group decided we would be Naruto-nin. Also, anime is very popular, as is The Legend of Korra. It was really cool to talk to people who also enjoy these series. It just goes to show that you never really know what people like (or could like) until you talk to them about it. I introduced Naruto to several people today, and may have rekindled a person's interest in it. Whoo! Naruto really is a fantastic series, with good morals. But even better was Youth Conference. Until next year!
Information About The New Format
Yes, i have changed the format of my posts. Not only am I rewriting the story from the very beginning, but I'm also adding in new segments to clarify things, called "How Things Work". At this point, you've seen four of them - the government, military, Ameyura, and a chart with all the Kings of Norea on it. I plan on making more, as the series progresses, but i won't always be able to do a segment like that, so i'm considering doing interviews with characters and using those as well. Also, at the end of chapters, you see "A Quick Look At~" which briefly summarizes one character, this far in the series and with my own unknowable-to-anyone-else-knowledge. This may also eventually give way to another short segment, maybe a "Where Are They Now?" sort of thing? Only the future will tell! Speaking of the future telling, to enrich the storytelling (I hope) I've been posting "previews" of next week's chapter in each chapter. Do you think those are working? Should they just be dropped? I would love to recieve feedback!
P.S. Do you guys enjoy the rewritten chapters?? I know they're different thematically from the pilot, "Led Away". As the story progresses, the rewrite and original chapters will probably start getting even more similar, since my writing improved. Personally, i couldn't stand my original few chapters, and can actually almost enjoy these. Thanks for reading!
P.P.S. I also changed several details about the blogs design! Do you like it??

Chapter 4
Chapter 4 - Heroes!!
Sparrow has the final say in the Ameyura, though Atsura can change his mind when he really wants to. Atana Sensei is wise, and his opinions are respected, but not as much as Atsura or Sparrow's. Jyakuge's opinions are noted since he is being groomed as Sparrow's successor. Squad Leaders, who normally change every mission, are also listened to.
Act 1, Scene 1 [Path to Deri]
Jyakuge: Good day, hello!
Soldier: Stop! Who are you?!
Jya.: I'm a rebel! I don't support Irakura!
Soldier: You are under arrest. Hand over any weapons!
[Soldier's companion points his pik at him, and several Ameyura arrive to back up Jyakuge]
Jya.: You are my prisoner now! I've captured you!
Soldier: 9th Division! Intruders! Some of them are disguised!-
[Soldier is knocked out]
Jya.: Shut up. Don't talk.
[The rest of the teams appear and engage the 9th Division]
Jya.: Run, villagers! Flee, villagers!
[Liberated villagers leave]
Scene 2 [Head of the 9th Division Troop Column]
Sanyuta: What's going on back there?! Stop the march! Saru, Tobi, take your groups and follow me! We're going to put a stop to this shananigans, in the name of the Prince!
[Exit Sanyuta, Saru, and Tobi, with their respective groups.]
Major Maji: The rest of you, with me! While General Sanyuta stabilizes the situation in the rear, we are to make sure nothing is happening, or will happen, up here!
Scene 3 [Midway Down the Villager Column]
[Sanyuta and his two Corporal Majors are riding down the column of villagers, slaying any Ameyura or fleeing villagers.]
Scene 4 [Other Side of the Column]
Sparow: We should find General Sanyuta at the head of everything!
Atsura: If we can even get to the head...there are so many troops in our way. How are we going to survive, even if we can fight our way to him?
Sparrow: Sanyuta is from the Kachyu Clan. Atana Sensei said that they're a clan of honorable samurai. If i challenge him, he will accept. The part is that if i win, he'll let me leave in peace. My plan is to make a gamble with him for the villagers.
Atsura: What if he wins?
Sparrow: You'll find out when we find him. Let's hurry up and find him!
[Exit Sparrow and Atsura]
Act 2, Scene 1 [Other Side of Column]
[Jyakuge carefully looks around and stands up after making sure Sanyuta is gone. One arm hangs useless at his side, a large gash across the top of it. ]
Jya.: I have to find Sparrow... he's looking for Sanyuta in the wrong place!
Scene 2 [Bottom of the 9th Division Column]
Major Maji: Stop! You can't hope to win against us.
Sparrow: I don't want to fight everyone. Just you! I challenge you, one on one, me versus you! If i win, you tell us where Sanyuta is. If you win, me and my comrade will surrender, and show you the Ameyura base. You're a samurai. You have honor, which means you can't deny my challenge!
Maji: I accept.
[Sparrow and Maji battle. Sparrow manages to get a lucky blow in and wins. Maji is fatally wounded.]
Maji: He went down the other side of the column. But...you'll never defeat him. He's the hero of the Kachyu Clan!
Sparrow: [Laughs] We'll see about that! Haven't you heard? I'm the hero of the oppressed! Of the ones who need hope! I'm Sparrow!
Maji: You've got a lot of heart, I'll give you that. Good luck in your fight against Sanyuta... maybe you can be a pleasurable distraction from the boredom that so often distracts him during fights... [Dies]
[Exit Sparrow and Atsura]
Scene 3 [Down the Villager Column]
[Sanyuta and his Corporals are finishing beating down some Ameyuras]
Jya.: Sparrow!
Sparrow: Jyakuge! What happened to you?!
Jya.: You can't fight Sanyuta! He's a monster! You can't win!
Sparrow: Ha! I just defeated a Major. Besides, I have to win.
Sanyuta: Are you the leader of the Ameyura terrorists?
Sparrow: Yes?
Sanyuta: Prepare to die, in the name of the Prince!
A Quick Look At ~ Sanyuta Kachyu
Sanyuta is the son of Kachyu Clan Head Tuma, a forward thinking man. Tuma hopes Sanyuta's military career will enable him to end Datte's cruelty towards the Kachyu. Sanyuta worships the Prince, who saved his dying clan by moving it, which invigorated it.
Quirk: Does everything "for the Prince". Mentions Irakura often.
Next Time! The clash begins! Sparrow fights for the villagers of Aka and Meda, while Sanyuta battles for his Prince, Irakura! Only one will walk away from this fight!

Chapter 3
Chapter 3 - Deception
Irakura Commands the High General, Sukaru. Sukaru presides over the 12 Generals (one from each Clan). Each General leads one Division, numbered 1-12.
Each Division has 2 Corporal Majors, who are second to that Division's General. Below the Corporal Majors are 3 Majors. Below them are the regular soldiers. Each General appoints their own Corporal Majors and Majors.
Act 1, Scene 1 [Court of Nobles]
Noble Pachi: We will now vote on my mining proposal. The proposal will move the inhabitants fo Aka and Meda, two failing villages, to the jungle mines of Deri. This will save the villagers and also man our mines.
Prince Irakura: We've already heard about the proposal. We are voting, not selling. All in favor say "I".
Pachi: "I"
Noble Gachi: "I"
Noble Datte: "I"
[3 Others say "I". Zen and four others do not say "I".]
Irakura: Pachi's mining proposal has a majority.
Datte: I propose that the rising star of the Kachyu, General Sanyuta, escorts the villagers and protects them from the Ameyura.
Irakura: Are there any opposed to Datte's suggestion?
Noble Zen: I am opposed to the entire proposal.
Irakura: Zen's oppisition is noted. Is there anyone else? ... No? Very well. Sanyuta will be in charge of protecting the villagers as they move to the mines. We've taken care of our other business, so Court is adjourned.
Scene 2 [Military Headquarters]
Datte: I'm here to give General Sanyuta Kachyu a mission.
Receptionist: I believe he's in the marching grounds drilling his troops.
[Exit Datte]
Scene 3 [Marching Grounds]
General Sanyuta: Half-time! March!
[Enter Datte]
Datte: Sanyuta Kachyu?
Sanyuta: Who's asking?
Datte: I am Noble Lord Datte of Dattegoru, representative of the Kayuchi and Kachyu Clans in the Court of Nobles. I have come with an assignment from Prince Irakura.
Sanyuta: My Prince? What does Lord Irakura wish of me?
Datte: Prince Irakura is currently in the midst of moving villagers from Aka and Meda to the jungle mines of Deri. We require a strong, courageous general to escort them. Irakura specifically asked for Sanyuta Kachyu.
Sanyuta: My Lord...! I had heard that all Kayuchi were scum, but surely that is not truth! I will do anythign for Prince Irakura! Where shall I bring my troops for this mission?
Scene 4 [Path to Deri]
[Sanyuta is marching at the head of a column of troops, which is at the front of a column of villagers guarded by soldiers.]
Act 2, Scene 1 [Moresuke]
Sparrow: I've just finished speaking with Jyakuge. He reports that two entire villages are being moved to Deri. This is something we cannot allow to happen! A General Sanyuta is escorting the villagers of Aka and Meda. This means there'll be a whole lot of soldiers guarding them. Some of the Ameyura are already there, disguised as soldiers. Like usual, deception and chaos are our best tactics. We can't fight a General in a fair fight, so our goal will be to save as many villagers as we can. They're on the path to Deri right now, near the end of a long day of marching. We're rested and ready. Our cause is just! We fight for freedom! The Prince's pawns have no reason to fight, and we cannot lose to them with so noble a cause!
Scene 2 [Path to Deri]
Sparrow: Me and Atsura will attack the General, who I assume is the buff samurai on the horse with the scary mask. Jyakuge and the other team leaders know what to do. Jyakuge?
Jyakuge: We are to work together with the undercover Ameyura to temporarily overwhelm the real soldiers. Afterwards, we're supposed to lead away as many villagers as we can to the rally point.
Sparrow: Excellent.
Atsura: I think it's time to go.
Sparrow: All right, everybody. Let's go, for Norea!
[Exit All]
A Quick Look At ~ Jyakuge
Jyakuge is a young Ameyura proficient in scouting and information gathering. He is generally seen as Sparrow's succesor, even though Atsura is Sparrow's closest friend and right hand man. Jyakuge is well liked among the people of the Ameyura and Moresuke, and few will be sad when it is his turn to lead the Ameyura as a seasoned leader.
Quirk: Jyakuge has a habit of repeating his statements, often with little variation.
Next Time, look for Sanyuta and Sparrow showing off their skills! The Ameyura spring into action to save the people of Aka and Meda, but are Sanyuta's soldiers too much to handle?! Is Sanyuta too strong for Sparrow to win...?!

This is what i saw when i logged into my blog this evening. All of the posts I'd been sending from my phone became this. I am so so sorry. I assumed it worked. Pleaseeee forgive me. The important one that was ruined is a post explaining that I have very little time to post tomorrow, and had little time today and yesterday. I've been at Youth Conference, which is, as usual, awesome. Anyways, I also mentioned that next week, Monday-Saturday, I will be on High Adventure in Colorado. So there will be absolutely no posts Monday-Friday, hopefully a few on Saturday when I return. I'm so sorry about all this!

Chapter 2
A/N: I'm not sure whether this is a 'new' second chapter, or a continuation of the first. I think it's the latter. We'll see. For now, here's Chapter the Second.
Chapter 2 - Genesis, the Second
The Kings rules supreme, with the Prince second to him. Below the Prince is the Court of Nobles, made up of 1 Nobles from each of the 12 Noble Clans. The Court of Nobles, when united, has the same amount of power as the Prince, but not the King. When the Prince adds his power to the Court's, they are stronger than the King. Each Noble rules over one of the 12 Noble Clans, which control different parts of the country. Nobles appoint Mayors to the cities in their jurisdiction. Mayors are free to form city counsels or whatever they please. When all the mayors in a Clan gather together, they can remove the Noble from power and elect a new one. Clan heads no longer have any political power, unless they are in the Court of Nobles.
"Irakura's flattery and scheming came to a head when he called for his father to step down. King Kumara, with no support remaining in the Court of Nobles, retired, making his son king in all but title.
And so it was that the Prince ruled instead of the King.
Prince Irakura did his best to combat the darkness of the Noreans, oft resorting to cruel and harsh measures. Because of his tyranny, many rose up against him. Each time a new rebel rose up, they were crushed, which in turn either inspired or scared away the next would-be revolutionary. One of these rebels appears to be a true revolutionary, through and through. He has inspired a group of followers, once a criminal syndicate, in his quest to overthrow the Prince!
They call themselves the Ameyura.
Their leader is named Sparrow.
And he will never rest until The Prince has fallen."
Scene 1, The Court of Nobles
Noble Gachi: As the head of the Court of Nobles, I call this session of the Court to order. Does anyone have anything to inform the Court of, beyond the ordinary?
Noble Hebimaru: At the Prince'z requezt, I have looked into the criminal zyndicate "Ameyura." It appearz that they have ceazed their operationz and have fled their baze.
Noble Zen: Why would they do that?
Hebimaru: My zpy informz me that Bozz Atzura found himzelf inzpired by a man called Zparrow. Apparently, thiz man haz cauzed them to turn againzt you, Prince Irakura.
Prince Irakura: Really? Pray tell me, where does this Ameyura orginazation find itself now?
Hebimaru: My zpyz have not yet uncovered thiz fact. I am certain they zhall zoon find it.
Noble Datte: You mean to say, your spys are useless.
[Laughter]
Irakura: Datte, I want you to look into this. Perhaps you could draw them out. Make sure to use my new general, Sanyuta. An exercise like this should loosen the tension between your people and his. You do have a responsibility to both the Kachyu and Kayuchi clans, since we have been unable to find a replacement for Noble Meruchi.
[Aside]
Datte: Yes, if he died that would certainly reduce the tension between me and those Kachyu dogs...
Scene 2, Dattegoru Town Hall
Datte: It's quite peculiar. I'm certain that Irakura must have some inkling of how Meruchi met his end. It's not everyday a Noble falls off the top of a building.
Mayor Dorato: It helps that our parley with him was a secret. It may not be a secret that the people of Dattegoru hate the Kachyu, but it was a secret that he wanted to meet with you. It looks like he didn't even tell his wife.
Datte: I wouldn't talk to my wife either, if I had married some hideous Kachyu hag.
Dorato: You're not even married!
Datte: Well, neither are you!
Dorato: I could be if I wanted to!
Datte: Do you forget who you're speaking too?! I could get married if I found the right one...
Dorato: I'm sure you will, my Lord.
Datte: Back to business. That fool Prince wants me to work with some Kachyu named Sanyuta.
Dorato: He has given his clan a good name as warriors. I hear that despite acquiring his position because of his father, he maintains it on his own and does not need to be known as a Clan head's son to be respected. Of course, that's what the public knows. I suspect he is a result of his father fooling around with other women, which is why he was sent away.
Datte: Or he's another power play by Tuma. Regardless, I need a way to discredit him. The Kachyu are beginning to get uppity. Don't they realize how kind I've been?! I created the Kachyu ring for them!
Dorato: Those dogs have always been ungrateful.
Datte: If I let this new group, the Ameyura, get away with something right under his nose, that would put him in his place! I know, I'll use the mining proposal. Pachi bought my vote for it anyways. Now all I have to do is attach Sanyuta to it, and tell Irakura that it's my trap for the Ameyura.
Dorato: You are a genius, my Lord.
Datte: I know, I know.
A Quick Look at ~ Datte
Noble Lord Datte suffers from the racism that affects his entire clan; an undying hatred of the Kachyu Datte moved all of the Kachyu to a ring surrounding, but not part of, the city. Datte murdered Meruchi, the Kachyu Noble, and even occupies his place until a replacement is selected. Datte knows he is corrupt, but doesn't care. Datte appointed Mayor Dorato especially to ensure he would always have strong support in Dattegoru, the Kayuchi capital.
Quirk: Often mentions marriage, and how he could find a wife if he wanted to.
Next Time! Datte's plan begins! Sanyuta shows his facem and Sparrow reveals her plan for saving the villagers of Aka and Meda!

Chapter 1
A/N: This is my new "first chapter". The prologue in the old one was ehhh. Several details are now different, and i think it makes things cleaner, and also makes more sense.
Chapter 1 - Genesis, the First
Prologue
"Over 700 years ago, the land of Norea was ruled by a race of super-humans, now known only as 'the Ancients'. Their rule was absolute for nearly 500 years, until a civil war all but wiped them out. Greatly weakened, the remaining Ancients were betrayed and murdered by their servants, the people of Norea. Unfortunately, without the stability of the Ancients' rule, the Noreans were put subject to the rule of vicious, power hungry Warlords.
These Warlords came to pass as a result of the darkness within the hearts of the Noreans. A lone hero, Teradoku, resisted these Warlords, and gave the land it's name - Norea, which, translated, means freedom. People who were tired of the Warlords' eternal bloodshed flocked to Teradoku's alliance of the same name as the country - 'Norea'. In time, the Warlords fell, one by one, and the 12 noble clans of Norean alliance became a new Norea, a government. They placed their war-time leader and saviour, the charismatic, Teradoku, as the king of Norea.
No king since has surpassed his rule, not one of the 6 following kings. However, the current ruler, Kumara, has been hailed as Norea's second greatest king. He ended a civil war started by anarchists, and is well on his way to retaking the Norean colony of Dracoa - a land of dragons and wurms. He likely would have retaken the land, if his son had not turned against him."
Act 1, Scene 1, A Palace Veranda
Prince Irakura: There are 11 other Nobles in the court. If all of you are on my side, my father will have to step down. He is weak, and he does not have the strength to-
Noble Datte: I don't need to hear your pompous rhetoric, Irakura. What is it that you want exactly?
Irakura: I want the kingdom. I want the crown. I want to bring peace and order. You support me, no?
Datte: Of course... so long as you support me.
Irakura: I thought as much. Your support is much appreciated. I will also ensure that no one knows about your involvement in the Kachi ring.
[Irakura discreetly presses a bag of gold into Datte's cloak.]
Scene 2, A Hallway Within the Palace
Noble Zen: You want to overthrow your own father?! Isn't that treason?
Irakura: Treason is betraying your own country! The king is NOT the country. He's the traitor. He is too soft on these people, allowing their evil to fester and their crimes to multiply! Surely you know I myself am more fit to rule.
Zen: ...
Irakura: Remember, our school days? Were you now always impressed by my exploits?
Zen: Yes, it's true that I did admire you. But this is not a boyish exploit! Your father was kind to me, promoting me over my brother-
Irakura: You think that was his decision?! I was the one who told my father that you were the better choice! You have always known which of two choices was better, and I respected such a talent. You surely see who to choose between now, don't you? You can support me, and make the decision unanimous, or fight with my father, and fall from your position. The choice is yours.
Scene 3, The Court of Nobles
[Irakura is meeting with 7 Nobles.]
Irakura: Zen and Datte already support me. You 7 make up the remainder of the Court. I'm certain that the others will go along with your decision, as you are the most influential and powerful of the Nobles.
Noble Gachi: You are correct when assessing our importance, but why should we choose you over your father? You can pay us handsomely, but we already recieve certain... business benefits under Kumara.
Irakura: Because you all will become so much more under me. I plan on moving more power to the Court of Nobles, and after my father is gone, we will elect one of you to be the head of the Court. Does that not interest you?
Noble Pachi: It does, but we would take a risk supporting you. There are benefits under Kumara, so why would we risk losing them?
Irakura: It is no risk to support me. Te other four Nobles have little influence, and are afraid to go against the grain. They are not united as we are, and cannot stand alone. They will have no choice but to cede to our authority. And if you do not support me, I will have my vengeance. You will all be removed from your position, and jailed. If you think that the King has turned a blind eye to your "businesses" you are dead wrong. I have hidden the evidence from him up until now, but I am willing to bring it to his attention in the blink of an eye.
Gachi: I believe I speak for the group when I tell you that we will all support our glorious Prince.
Irakura: I knew that you would see things my way.
Scene 4, The Same, but Later
King Kumara: I know call this session of the Court of Nobles to order!
Irakura: Father, I would like to speak.
Kumara: Of course, my son.
Irakura: Thank you. As we all know, you are getting up there in age.
Kumara: ...!
Irakura: The strains of not one, but two wars have weakened your health. You are not as young as you used to be. It is a fact of life.
Kumara: Surely you're not saying I am unfit to be king?!
Irakura: That is not exactly what I am saying... I merely believe it is time for you to retire. I will become king when you die, as every other king has. I am only calling for you to retire, and allow me to rule in your stead.
Kumara: I am shocked by your ambition, Irakura. Surely the Nobles see your recklessness as well?
Gachi: I support Irakura.
Pachi: I do as well.
Zen: As do I.
Datte: You have been a great king, but it is time for some new blood.
Kumara: None of you support me any longer...?
All: ...
Kumara: I see. In any case, I cannot rule a kingdom when my Nobles, and my own son don't support me. I must retire. The Prince shall rule Norea. I warn you son, not to let this ambition ruin you. Learn from the kings of the past, become a great ruler. Although I have been betrayed, I wish you luck.
Irakura: It's nothing personal father... it's just that I make a better ruler than You do.
[Kumara leaves]
Noble Hebimaru: All hail The Prince! Long live the Prince!
A Quick Look At ~ Kumara
King Kumara is the 7th King of Norea, and was the former 5th Prince. Unlike his father, he is kind and benevolent. His father was a heartless jerk, similar to Irakura. Notable achievements include, but are not exclusive to, ending a civil war, giving birth to the curent Prince, and turning his back on his father's beliefs about the darkness of people in Norea. His son has forced him to retire.
Quirk: He will never stop believing his son is, at his very core, good.
Next Time! Look for a Noble's secret! Is the Court as united as it seems? Will anyone ever rise up against this Prince?!
