i follow the manga/anime series Naruto (Shippuden), and during the recent Fourth Shinobi (ninja) World War Arc, a lot of the characters have been showing how much they've grown; which coincides with all the talk about how the new generation is surpassing the old one. However, there's also a lot of instances where the "old" generation stands up for the new and shows that they've been redeemed, and that they're not quite done yet. There's a quote from one of the oldest of the old generation, Onoki, the Third Tsuchikage. Without further ado, here's the quote:
"Don't already speak words of resignation! None of us should be abandoning themselves without doing anything! We have to do everything we can, even if it's just small, got it?!"
He says this right after everyone is prepared to give up in the wake of an extremely destructive offensive, from a foe that many believe to be unbeatable. But now Onoki is saying they can't give up without a fight! Personally, i find the quote extremely inspirational. He says that even if the only things the can do are "small" they should still do it, like they just have to fight their hardest then everything will be fine in the end... it's true, isn't it?
